Dr. Zafar received his medical degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency with an emphasis in foot and ankle surgery at the Detroit Medical Center, which included Detroit Receiving Hospital and Children's Hospital of Michigan, both of which are level one trauma centers.

His extensive training in Orthopedic and Pediatric surgery includes specializing in trauma, adult and pediatric foot and ankle surgery, ankle arthroscopy, chronic ankle pain, and forefoot surgery including bunions, hammertoes, and flat foot repair. He is Board Qualified in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He also recognizes the challenge of caring for the diabetic patient and is experienced in the techniques needed for limb salvage, skin grafts and complex wound ulcers.

James V. Stelnicki, DPM

Dr. Stelnicki originated from Toledo, Ohio, and attended the University of Cincinnati. He received his doctorate in Podiatry Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine with residency training at the Cleveland Foot Clinic and Pinellas General Hospital. He is backed by more than 42 years of experience treating and resolving patients' conditions of the foot and leg. Dr. Stelnicki is Board Certified in podiatric surgery and primary podiatric care by the American Podiatric Medical Specialties Board. He has surgical experience in all aspects of podiatry in private practices, as well as an emphasis toward wound and diabetic foot care.

Dr. Stelnicki is semi retired from our practice and is enjoying his family, fishing, and his many travels. The Foot and Leg Specialty Center was established with his goals and leadership, and we continue to live up to his high standards of providing the best podiatry care and podiatric surgery. Our facility continues to maintain the same staff and standards under the direction of Dr. Zafar.


Linda Kaplan, DPM

Dr. Kaplan - Podiatric Medicine in New Port Richey, FL
Dr. Kaplan graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor of Social Science degree. She then continued her studies at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where she earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1980.

Dr. Kaplan completed her surgical residency at Dearborn Medical Center in Michigan. She sees patients at the Foot & Leg Specialty Center in New Port Richey and offers excellence in foot and ankle health care.

Dr. Kaplan practices with an emphasis in office podiatrics, geriatric treatments, home and nursing visits, and wound care. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA).
